Events That Fuel Our Search

It's interesting to read and watch our news stories via electronic media (e-media). The multi-sensory experience makes me smile as my heart races and my mind wants to logically process "the signs of the times".

Racial issues won't be resolved if no one is genuinely honest with themselves in acknowledging that, if the media juggernaut is correct, no one wants reconciliation. It's bad for business.

Where is God in all of this? I believe He's ever present. I'm still looking when I speak with people I encounter and when I read the news.

Words don't lose their power if we turn them into alphabets. "N" doesn't change the hatefulness of the word. It's still nigger; and, in the writing of the word the emotional upheaval is huge. A white male celebrity hurls this word at hecklers knowing within his heart he can - because he's white. What is he truly sorry for?
I did not read any Christian folk being outraged!

Where is God in all of this? Watching, listening, and working through those who will do the extraordinarily unordinary thing. There's more to talk about over the table.
